Making a box cushion cover is definitely a process worth learning and practising.  Imagine being able to make a box cushion cover for an armchair, a window or bench seat or to re-make some sofa cushion covers.   Working through the process beginning to end, with a tutor guiding you and giving you all the tips, the course is designed to give you confidence to make covers at home.

All materials are included.  You should have some sewing experience as this is not a ‘learn to sew’ class.

Everyone works on a similar sized sample and by the end of the course you will have completed a box cover with a zipper and piping, to take home.

Course includes:  foam measuring 35cm x 25cm x 8cm,  zippers, piping cords and sewing threads as well as a handout outlining the order of work, plus helpful online resources to refer to in the future.

If you wish, you are welcome to bring in 1m of a plain weave fabric of your choice, and half a metre of a cotton to make piping.

The are 4 places, 4 sewing machines.  If you wish to bring your own machine, you are most welcome to!  You will need a single/double piping foot for your machine.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided and there is one 30-40 minute break for lunch.
